Hi! My name is Luca.

I'm a game developer with 5 years of professional experience and twice as many as an indie.
I make games from scratch for a variety of platforms, using game engines or frameworks, with a focus on performance optimisation, VFX, and sparkly stuff.

Latest projects

Older projects

Evil Heroes

Technology: C#, XNA
Platforms: PC, XBOX360

This 3D action game is my student project for the Videogames Academy. The programming team was composed of 6 persons, and I've been working on game engine, external tools, and physics, but my major focus was on visual effects, rendering, and optimization.

Raining cats and dogs

Technology: HTML5, GS:Studio
Platforms: web

A simple, little browser game, with cute graphics from Lo Studio CiAbbatte. Programming the game was a basic task, the real challenge was to make it run smoothly on mobile phone browsers.

Spellcasting

Technology: C#, Unity3D
Platforms: web, PC

An action game developed to learn the ropes of Unity3D. Unity is a great engine, but for now my graphics skills are limited to sprites and visual effects, so a 2D game came out.

Tecksmash

Technology: HTML5, GS:Studio
Platforms: web

My first html5 game, used to experiment heavily with WebGL and shaders. A mobile browsers compatible version is sponsored by a10.com
Graphics by Claudio Silva.

Viral Slash

Technology: C#, XNA
Platforms: Windows Phone

Packed with visual effects, game modes, extras like online leaderboards and models gallery, this 3D action game offers a smooth and satisfying gaming experience.
Sometimes I can't help going back and forth through the menus... yes, I like smooth GUIs that much.
Graphics by Lo Studio CiAbbatte, 3D models by Alessandro Mosca.

Halloween Blitz

Technology: HTML5, GS:Studio
Platforms: web

A match 3, mobile browser friendly game, made to quench the publishers' thirst for holiday themed games.

Virus Break

Technology: HTML5, GS:Studio
Platforms: web

A classic "cutter" action game, designed mostly for mobiles as it supports multitouch input. A mobile browsers compatible version is sponsored by a10.com
Graphics by Lo Studio CiAbbatte.

Brave Doge

Technology: GS:Studio
Platforms: Android

I was playing this game called Brave Frontier. I wanted to know more about the publishing process for Android apps. I have this galaxy doge wallpaper on my pc. So... I suppose that's how Brave Doge happened, in an afternoon of randomness.

Spark Chain

Technology: C#, XNA
Platforms: Windows Phone

My most succesful game on Windows Phone has a really basic gameplay, but it is full of those flashy explosions I love so much. A final update was released in 2013.

Ciompo Jump

Technology: C#, XNA
Platforms: Windows Phone

Jumping games were popular back in the days on Windows Phone, so I did decide to make my own. Had a lot of fun developing vector graphics too.

AntistressOne

Technology: C#, XNA
Platforms: Windows Phone

My first self-published title, made from scratch using XNA and C#. Handling the device memory and accessing the user pictures gallery was quite a challenge.

While developing it, I've found out I love developing GUIs and watch them unfold smoothly with a single touch. I was using the publisher name Lambdasoft at that time.
